statement from the University following the incidents on campus this afternoon (October 30)

The University of Navarra condemns the serious incidents that have occurred on campus and in the city on the occasion of the unauthorized event that took place this afternoon. With the information available, there are no serious personal or material damages to be regretted at the University. As it is known, the activity had been suspended since 15h. because of the risk of violent incidents.

The events that took place this afternoon do not correspond to the values that this institution promotes. We reiterate that the University is a place of coexistence, dialogue and respect where violence has no place. 

The University is grateful for the work of the State Security Forces and the exemplary behavior of the university community.
