The projects of Ana Karina Loynaz, a graduate of the designDegree the School of Architecture at the University of Navarra, and the CENIT team, graduates of Master's Degree Communication management (MEGEC) from the School of Communication, have been honored at the second edition of the Chair Awards for New Longevities from the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS). These awards recognize the best Degree Master's Degree theses Master's Degree the culture of care and the search for solutions to the challenges posed by an aging population.

submission , held during this year’s ICS Lecture, was attended by Luis Álvarez Atares, from the CENIT team; Ana Elisa Loynaz, representing Ana Karina Loynaz; Mª Carmen Maeztu, Minister of Social Rights, Economics , and employment the Government of Navarra; Ana Marta González, director of the Chair on New Longevities; and Rafael Sanchez Ostiz, director the IDEA Foundation.


Care and Home
Under the degree scroll You always come home, Ana Karina Loynaz presented her work Degree work Degree proposes a design the Bidealde Social and Health Care Center, which “serves as a bridge between daily care and the feeling of home, facilitating the navigation of daily life through intuitive, emotional, and personalized systems.”

In the author’s words, the initiative aims to address “the challenge an aging population and the growing need for inclusive solutions within social and healthcare settings.” In this regard, it seeks to “enhance residents’ physical, emotional, and social experiences by fostering the creation of more humane communities where well-being and a sense of belonging are genuine and part of everyday life.”



Senior Talent For its part, the CENIT team—comprising Luis Álvarez Atarés, Felipe Pérez, Inés Galindo, and Alondra Olguín —seeks to connect senior talent with the demands and opportunities of today’s job market. “There is a vast number of senior professionals with decades of experience who, for various reasons, find themselves outside the job market at a stage in their careers when they still have so much to offer. At the same time, many companies, especially SMEs, need knowledge but cannot always afford to hire full-time senior professionals. CENIT was created to connect these two worlds,” explain its founders.      

To achieve this, they have designed a digital platform that “offers a model allowing companies to tap into senior talent for specific projects, mentoring, training strategic problem-solving, while professionals can remain active, adding value, and maintaining a connection to their professional field.”

For the team, receiving this award been “a source of immense satisfaction and also confirmation that the idea behind CENIT makes sense in today’s context. This recognition not only highlights the value of the project , but also the approach developing it: viewing longevity not as a problem, but as an opportunity.”

In this regard, they emphasize that “the fact that an institution like the Chair recognizes CENIT means we are heading in the right direction: how to harness that talent and turn it into value for society and for businesses.” Furthermore, “it also serves as an incentive to continue developing this idea and exploring it further.”

Applications are now being accepted for the third edition of these awards. Candidates can view the instructions and submit their proposals by September 30, 2026.
