Naiara Urralburu Valencia Biochemistry a sixth-year student in the dual Degree Chemistry Biochemistry has secured a place test spanish chemistry residency program on her first attempt, which took place on January 24, 2026. Naiara ranked 27th out of a total of 29 spots offered nationwide, an achievement that will allow her to begin her training in the clinical field.
A native of Pamplona, Urralburu decided to take the exam before completing his programs of study the goal entering the workforce sooner. “I had nothing to lose: if I didn’t pass, I would have spent a year preparing for it and the following year would be just to refine my skills; and if I did pass, the award much greater,” he explains.
His preparation began in mid-July, initially focusing on Biochemistry instrumental techniques. Throughout the academic year, he juggled intensive studying with his classes, his Degree work Degree sports. “It’s like a rollercoaster of emotions; as the exam date approached, I felt that everything I’d studied wasn’t enough,” he admits.
After taking the test, he says he came away feeling positive: “The exam seemed easier than I expected, and I felt that all the effort had been worth it.” In the end, that work with a place on place.
On staff level, Naiara expresses her satisfaction and pride at having taken on the challenge her initial doubts. Professionally, she highlights the opportunity to degree program workand to grow in a field she is passionate about: clinical practice.
The training at the University of Navarra has been core topic her preparation, particularly thanks to approach Degree Biochemistry Degree Biochemistry which has helped her study subjects such as Biochemistry statistics.
Naiara will begin her specialization program at Hospital del Mar in Barcelona between June 3 and 5, where she has chosen the Clinical specialization program with the goal specializing in Genetics.
