The transition to the professional world is not a matter of improvisation; it is pure strategy. The auditorium at Hexagon Building has become the hub for students in the MIB, MCD, MIDI, and MDGFI master’s programs.

With classrooms full and expectations high, the 2026–2027 Bootcamp has officially kicked off—a joint initiative of the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition and the School of Science at the University of Navarra. This intensive “ workshop ” program was created with a single goal goal: to equip students at postgraduate program with the strategic tools they need to stand out in a fiercely competitive job market and confidently navigate the search for their first professional experiences.

This meeting has been designed as a real-world training program for high performing. From the very beginning, María Zarranz Sánchez, manager (Internship Coordinator) and employment (for both Schools), has opened the doors to the Professional development Program with a clear roadmap for employment rate.

Key Elements of an Employability- workshop

The program has been organized into key modules led by the heads of the university’s “ career guidance ”:

  • Strategy, Resumes, and Recruitment. Zarranz Sánchez has laid out the definitive method for planning a job search at employment, crafting a standout resume, and succeeding in complex group exercises at group . When asked about the most common mistake at this stage, Zarranz was unequivocal: the main mistake students make is “lacking consistency” between the professional goal they’re seeking and what they actually convey in their profiles.

  • Managing Immediacy: Alfonso Vericat, director of the Internship Service and employment corporate at the University of Navarra, addressed how to prepare students for the demanding “VUCA environment” (volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous) that defines today’s market. Vericat emphasized that this skill is so difficult today “because young people are used to getting what they want—and getting it right away.” However, he cautioned that in corporate selection processes and development , the dynamics change fundamentally: “In the professional world, that doesn’t happen. Speed and ‘power’ lie with others (companies), and that’s hard to accept if you’ve never experienced it or found yourself in that situation.”

  • Digital Tools. The afternoon session also focused on the digital environment, teaching students how to master LinkedIn and effective networking to open doors in the science and health industries. The committee core topic : Self-awareness and honesty.

The closing remarks left students with direct and motivational messages to help them successfully take their next steps, encouraging them to understand that the “ training ” they’ve received will serve as the “backpack” they’ll carry on their professional journey. “The truth is compelling. Get to know yourself, define your career goal , and go for it!” said María Zarranz Sánchez. “Take time to reflect and realize that you are the protagonists and are responsible for your future—and that your future is already here,” Alfonso Vericat reminded the students.

Through this initiative, both Schools s at the University of Navarra reaffirm their commitment to the employability of their students at postgraduate program, transforming academic talent into real opportunities for success.
