Pope appoints Carlos Escribano, graduate of the University of Navarra, new bishop of Teruel-Albarracín
The second youngest bishop in Spain will prioritize work with families and young people.
Pope Benedict XVI has appointed the priest Carlos Manuel Escribano Subías (Carballo, 1964), graduate of the School of Theology of the University of Navarra, as the new bishop of Teruel-Albarracín. He is the second youngest bishop in Spain, after the bishop apostolic administrator of Bilbao, Mario Iceta.
As he explained, he considers a priority the work with families because "they can be the ones who promote evangelization in this millennium" and with young people because "they are always the hope of society and undoubtedly of the Church".
