Researchers from Microbiology and Parasitology of the University of Navarra participate in the organization of a meeting on Neglected Zoonoses in Morocco.

The meeting, which will take place from November 17 to 21, is part of the international project ICONZ to eradicate these diseases in Africa.

The department of Microbiology and Parasitology of the University of Navarra will be one of the organizers of the meeting on Neglected Zoonoses promoted by the European project ICONZ, which has as goal the control of parasitic, viral and bacterial diseases in Africa.

The conference, which will take place in Rabat (Morocco) from November 17 to 21, will bring together experts from the 22 organizations that are part of the international network .

Within this group, the team of the University of Navarra - formed by specialists, students of doctorate and technicians of department of Microbiology and Parasitology- coordinates the research in bacterial zoonoses such as brucellosis, bovine tuberculosis, anthrax or anthrax; infections that cause serious problems in human health and animal production in developing countries development.

Recently, in addition, project ICONZ has compiled all the information about work carried out by its member entities in a new website: www.iconzafrica.com.
