The Centre for Applied Medical Research (CIMA) of the University of Navarra and The Farmhouse of Tafalla have signed a agreement to collaborate in the research of the Alzheimer's disease. The agreement has been subscribed by Francisco Errasti, director de the Foundation for the research Medical Aplicada, owner of CIMA, and by María Ángeles Urbasos, board member of El Caserío and granddaughter of the founders.

"It is essential to support the research, and in our case the biomedical research , which, as is well known, requires substantial resources. We need the contribution of all subject of entities and individuals to continue advancing in the knowledge of these diseases that affect many people and for which a great effort is required researcher. That is why we are sincerely grateful to El Caserío for joining this project from which the whole of society benefits" highlighted Francisco Errasti, director de the Foundation for the research Medical Applied.

More than 70 years sweetening with handmade recipes

El Caserío de Tafalla was born in the 1940s by the Tafalla couple Jesús Ramírez and Manuela Barasoain. Since then, they have become a reference in the market for the production of 100% natural candies.

The business has decided to donate 10% of the sales of its online store to the research on Alzheimer's disease, which is being developed at CIMA.

"It seems to us that the CIMA does a very meritorious job that financial aid to make progress in pathologies that are very widespread. We want to contribute our grain of sand to this entity that serves Navarra and the world of the research from Navarra" said María Ángeles Urbasos, director of El Caserío.
