Five International Relations students are traveling to Brussels for the first edition of the EU Distinction

The initiative gives them a firsthand look at the professional environment of European institutions and broadens their career prospects

The stay in Brussels is part of the EU Distinction, an award aimed at students pursuing a Degree International Relations who are pursuing the Diploma Global Business and Economic Affairs or the Diploma Geopolitics and Diplomacy. Five senior students participated in this first edition, with the goal gaining insight into the day-to-day operations of European institutions and better understanding the career opportunities offered by their ecosystem.

During the two-day visit, the students toured various core topic institutions and organizations core topic the European Union, including the Permanent Representation of Spain to the European Union, the European Parliament—where they were welcomed by MEP Antonio López-Istúriz—the European External Action Service, and the Delegation of the Government of Navarre. They also visited public affairs consulting firms such as KREAB and FTI Consulting, and held a meeting the director Mercadona’s office in Brussels.

The experience was rounded out with a meeting alumni Degree who are currently pursuing their degree program in Brussels.
