The Mayor of Pamplona, Joseba Asiron, together with the director of the area of Culture, Festivals, Education and Sport, Íñigo Gómez, have received in the mayor's office the director of the Science Museum of the University of Navarra, Ignacio López-Goñi, and the manager of activities and exhibitions of the museum, Marta Revuelta. At meeting, Mayor Asiron was able to learn about the actions of knowledge dissemination and promotion of scientific culture of this center, many of which have the partnership of the City Council of Pamplona.

Among the activities carried out by the Science Museum are the international film festival #LabMeCrazy!, which next year celebrates its sixth edition. López-Goñi gave the mayor a report summary of the festival and of this year's gala, which was attended by director of the City Council's area for Culture, Iñigo Gómez. They have also presented to the mayor other actions they are carrying out in the city and with schools in Pamplona, such as various citizen science activities and a exhibition on insects, scheduled for the end of the year.

The Science Museum of the University of Navarra was launched in 1998 with a exhibition of the Lecároz Collection, donated by the Capuchin Fathers three years earlier after the closure of their high school Nuestra Señora del Buen committee. In addition to these collections, the exhibition includes more than 7,000 pieces, including animals, plants, rocks, minerals and antique scientific instruments. The school public is the most numerous, and more than 2,000 students visit the Museum annually, due to its great didactic component.
