The University signature an agreement with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce to promote training programs for business leaders and governmental organizations.

The partnership will strengthen relations between the two institutions and allow them to exchange experiences and knowledge in areas such as Humanities, sustainability and governance.

The University of Navarra has signed a partnership agreement with the Sharjah Training & Development Center (STDC) of the Sharjah Emirate Chamber of Commerce goal promote training programs for business leaders and governmental organizations. The alliance will enable the exchange of experiences and knowledge in areas such as Humanities, sustainability, character Education and governance. It will also enable the organization of training and research activities aimed at both public and private executives.

The agreement was signed by Mariam Saif Ali Al Shamsi, assistant to the General Administration of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce, and Jaime García del Barrio, general director of the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) of the University of Navarra, at a ceremony held at the headquarters of the University of Navarra in Madrid. The signature was also attended by Amel Abdalla Al Ali, manager of the Sharjah Training & Development Center; Khaled Makled, president of Future Academy; Ibrahim Al Nuaimi, head of Political Affairs, Media and Public Diplomacy at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Spain; Elena Belzunce, director of development of the ICS; and Ramzi Jazmati, director of development of the University of Navarra in the Middle East and North Africa.

Sharjah, with more than 650,000 inhabitants, is the third emirate with the largest population, after Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and an academic reference in the Arab world, thanks to the excellence of its universities. It is also recognized for its firm commitment to culture and its decisive commitment to sustainable development and the preservation of its traditions. The University of Navarra, which has been working with this region for decades, where it has established various agreements with universities and art foundations, is extending its relations to the business field with this signature . The agreement is in line with the mission statement of the Sharjah Training and Development Center, which seeks the training and development of companies and public organizations in the United Arab Emirates through training courses that include management and communication.

In the words of Saif Al Shamsi, the agreement is "a strategic milestone that reflects Sharjah Training & Development Center's commitment to strengthening national competencies and preparing them with global knowledge". He emphasizes that "this partnership allows us to further expand our presence in the Middle East, a region with which we feel a deep cultural affinity and in which we have been actively engaged in recent years. Through this alliance, both institutions will work together in the training of leaders based on a humanistic vision that is committed to the flourishing and growth of staff. Along these lines, the Deputy Director of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce stresses that training in these issues is essential in today's world, marked by rapid change and the relevance of international relations: "Traditional management skills are no longer enough. Today, leaders need a deeper understanding of contemporary issues such as sustainability, transformational leadership and the Humanities. These areas provide executives with the intellectual and ethical tools needed to make more informed and impactful decisions in increasingly complex and changing environments."
