Gonzalo Alonso, Estudiantes' " Associate Dean "
Gonzalo Alonsowill replaceCarmen Urpias associate dean for student affairs. He holds graduate (2011) and a Ph.D. in Philosophy (2016) from the University. He teaches teaching in the courses Anthropology, General Ethics, Philosophical Psychology, and Professional Ethics in the Degree in Psychology, as well as Professional Ethics in the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology.
In addition, he is a member of the group of research Mind-Brain at Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) and of group , which continues the thought of Leonardo Polo at School of Humanities and Social Sciences. His research in anthropology and philosophy of mind centers on the topic of free will, with the goal of developing a framework personalist anthropological approach to psychology. He is a researcher at the Universities of Heidelberg (Germany) and Dartmouth College (NH, USA).
Araceli Arellano, associate dean of teaching and Practicum
Araceli Arellanohas been appointed associate dean of teaching and Practicum, replacing Ángel Sobrino and Olga Lizasoain. Araceli Arellano holds a bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D. (2012) in Educational Psychology from the University. She currently teaches teaching in the School of Education and Psychology.
She is a member of the “ group ” (Center for Research on Neurodevelopment and Learning) at research and the Department of Neurodevelopment and Learning at the School of Education and Psychology. Her research focuses on intellectual disabilities, particularly in relation to the development of self-determination staff. She has completed research postdoctoral fellowships at the Universidad Popular Autónoma de Puebla (Puebla, Mexico) and at the Center for Educational Development, Appraisal, and Research at the University of Warwick (Coventry, UK).
Luis Eudave, Associate Dean from research and postgraduate program
Luis Eudave will be the Faculty's new Associate Dean at research , replacing Jesús de la source.
Luis Eudave holds graduate in Medicine from the Universidad Panamericana (2013) and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Navarra (2018). In 2018, he joined the University as researcher at the Cima , and since 2019 he has been a member of the faculty at the School of Education and Psychology, where he currently serves as Senior Associate Professor and coordinator at the laboratory of research.
He is a member of the group at research MIPAC (Methods and research in Affective and Cognitive Psychology). His research researches human cognition—using Extended Reality and multimodal analysis of neurophysiological signals—in projects on hemineglect in stroke patients, the vividness of mental images, spatial navigation, and report of work social cognition. She has completed research stays research at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität (Erlangen, Germany) and at the Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon, Portugal).
Carolina Ugarte, dean of the School of Education , and Psychology, thanks Ángel Sobrino, Olga Lizasoain, Jesús de la source , and Carmen Urpi for their years of work and dedication to the School. “I would like to highlight the contribution of Professor Ángel Sobrino, first as Associate Dean at research and later as Associate Dean at teaching and faculty. I would also like to acknowledge Professor Olga Lizasoain’s contribution to launching and strengthening the academic program at Practicum; and Jesús de la source for his efforts in promoting research and facilitating knowledge transfer within the faculty. Finally, I would like to highlight Professor Urpi’s work as associate dean for student affairs.”
