The professionals of the University of Navarra will soon be able to use the covered parking spaces located on Avenida Pío XII, next to the CIMA and in front of the Clinic, which until now was managed by Empark (formerly Cintra). This car park has 947 parking spaces, 634 on two subway levels and 313 on the surface (the latter were already in use).

Empark, the business that has become position of the new car park of hospitals, has reached a agreement with the real estate company INMUDENSA, for the anticipated reversion (it was foreseen for the year 2043) of the surface right that this business had on the land of the real estate company on which the car park of Avenida Pío XII is located.

In this way, it will be possible to dispense with the parking spaces at car park and leave the Science area as a pedestrian zone, a measure provided for in the security plan that is progressively being applied throughout campus after the attack of October 2008. Initially, the possibility of building a subway car park in this area had been considered; however, the anticipated reversion of the Pío XII parking lot avoids the inconvenience of works of this magnitude.
On the other hand, this plan is part of the University's commitment to an integrated and sustainable campus , as the Science area will be converted into a pedestrian area , open to bicycles and with more green areas.

The University of Navarra will continue to improve the security plan and study new solutions for its development, combining these measures with the protection of the environment and the well-being of those who study, work or visit the campus.
