Ignacio Sánchez-Carpintero Plano, Professor Emeritus the School of Science , where teaching 43 years, passed away today in Pamplona. He was 83 years old, married, and the father of 10 children.
Ignacio Sánchez-Carpintero Plano was born in Madrid on August 1, 1942. He received his graduate degree scroll graduate Geological Sciences from the University of Madrid in 1967 and defended his first thesis Geological Sciences at the School of Science the University of Navarra in 1972, titled “Geological Study of the Leyre and Navascués Mountain Ranges (Navarra). Throughout her career as professor researcher, she has published numerous scientific papers on geology (stratigraphy and mineralogy) and soil science, as well as on knowledge dissemination, work her primary area of work soil mapping. Ignacio Sánchez-Carpintero was an adjunct professor of Physical Geography and Geomorphology, and director the School of Technical Assistants at laboratory. He was also professor of Crystallography and a tutor the UNED.
