The School of Law and Labormatters Abogados promote a Labor Relations Observatory

The Observatory will develop research and knowledge transfer in the field of Labor Law and Social Security, as well as the training of students in Degree and postgraduate program.

The School of Law and Labormatters Abogados have signed a partnership agreement to promote a Labor Relations Observatory to promote research and knowledge transferin the field of Labor Law and Social Security, through an interdisciplinarypartnership with professionals from very different fields (companies, public administration, justice administration, universities, trade unions, etc.). 

"The Observatory aims to be a center of reference letter obligatory in the knowledge dissemination of programs of study, reflections and scientific production on the main current issues in the field of labor relations", said the dean of the School of Law, Mercedes Galán, during the signature the agreement for the launch of the Observatory that took place in the Degrees hall. Mercedes Galán was accompanied by Alfredo Aspra, partner director of Labormatters Abogados, who added: "As a space for research, training and knowledge dissemination, the Observatory aims to be a specific instrument of connection between the academic and professional fields at the service of society in general and of companies and workers in particular".

Among many others, absenteeism, work time, equality, diversity and non-discrimination in labor relations, the right to the protection of personal data in labor relations, psychosocial risks and the Health & Safety Office, the impact of AI on labor relations and jurisdictional internship , the management and implementation of appropriate governance in organizations, etc., will be priority subjects of study at the Observatory. 

In accordance with the work schedule foreseen for 2025, the Observatory will develop its activities mainly on the campus of the University of Navarra in Madrid. Prior to this, it is planned to create a group of experts in the field of labor relations from the academic and professional segments.

The activities that will be promoted by the Observatory are classified into three areas: research, with the purpose of generating research that, with the required quality and scientific rigor, analyzes the main regulatory and jurisprudential changes in the field of Labor Law and Social Security; knowledge dissemination, with the dissemination of the results derived from the lines of research through publications in a wide variety of formats (press, websites, social networks, reports, opinions, etc.); and knowledge dissemination, with the organization of conferences and seminars for professionals operating in the field of Labor Law Law, as well as for the student body of the Degree and postgraduate program in Law, as well as for the student body of the Degree and postgraduate program in Law.); and training, with the organization of conference and seminars for professionals working in the field of Labor Law, as well as for the student body of Degree and postgraduate program law postgraduate program .
