The University, in partnership with the signature ECIJA, has developed a specialization program in Legaltech and Artificial Intelligence applied to Law, which aims to provide a comprehensive and practicalapproach to innovation and digital transformation in the legal field. The program has a faculty and professionals from leading Legaltech firms and law firms, experts in the sector and includes the latest developments to meet the challenges in the adoption of technology and the application of Artificial Intelligence in the legal sector.
The program, taught by a team of experts from leading Legaltech firms and law firms, offers comprehensive training on the latest advances in the adoption of technology in the legal sector and the application of AI. Its goal is to provide participants with the necessary tools to meet the challenges of digitization in the legal field, structuring the learning in four core topic pillars: innovation and digital transformation applied to the legal field, the development of Legaltech projects, the application of AI to law and the management of tools and case studies.
Structured in four modules, the Study program offers a detailed analysis of the theory of innovation and a strategic understanding of the technological evolution in the legal sector. Throughout the course, the development of Legaltech projects will be addressed, from the definition of their scope and the calculation of ROI to the implementation and management of change, providing practical tools for the execution of real digital transformation projects. In addition, the Study program includes a specialization in Artificial Intelligence applied to Law, with advanced modules on Large Language Models, AI auditing and legal prompting techniques.
Juan Carlos Hernández Peña, professor at the School of Law of the University of Navarra and researcher at the Institute of data Science and Artificial Intelligence, is the director the program. Hernández Peña emphasizes the eminently practical approach , which will favor opportunities for networking and direct connection with the sector. "The market, society in general, needs legal professionals who are in control of the management of tools, the development of projects and everything involved in the application of artificial intelligence in the legal field: what are its risks, what are its benefits".

The specialization program in Legaltech will be taught on-site at the campus of the University of Navarra in Madrid, and is scheduled to begin between April and June 2025.
