Pilar Ygartua, professor emeritus of the University's Pharmacy School , passes away.

Pilar Ygartua Ayerra, professor emeritus of the School of Pharmacy of the University of Navarra, died yesterday in Pamplona. Married and mother of
a daughter, Pilar Ygartua was born in Peralta. She was a student of the first promotion of School of Pharmacy. In 1976 she defended her thesis , directed by Professors Félix Álvarez de la Vega and Margarita Fernández. That same year she joined the faculty of the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition, where she served for 13 years as director of programs of study.
Pilar Ygartua was the promoter of the programs of study of Dermopharmacy in the Spanish Schools and teacher of galenists. This is how she is remembered by the professor of the School of Pharmacy, Juan Manuel Irache, who highlights "her great vocation professor" and the time she invested in training and counseling with her students. "Pilar was above all a pharmacist at heart who fulfilled her dream as a child and who instilled her passion for patient care through the medicine".
Berta Lasheras, also emeritus professor at School, says: "Pilar Ygartua lived through the profound changes that pharmacy has undergone and was involved in the advances of department de Galénica. She collaborated in the development of the Pilot Plant, a pioneer in the Schools of Pharmacy. He also maintained a close relationship with professionals from both the Pharmacy Office and the Pharmaceutical Industry at contact ".
