Mateo Cueto, from IES Benjamín de Tudela: winner of the autonomic phase of the Olympiad of the Chemistry
Held at the School of Science , 28 students from ten high schools test in this test
Mateo Cueto Remacha, high school diploma IES Benjamín de Tudela in the capital of the Ribera region, has won the regional round of the Chemistry Olympiad, which meeting the School of Science at the University of Navarra, bringing together 28 students from ten schools.
In second place was Ibón Armendáriz Zuasti, from IES place de la Cruz de Pamplona; and in third place, Miguel Nagore Irigoyen, from high school Nuestra Señora del Huerto de Pamplona. All three will be able to participate in the national phase of the test, to be held in Madrid from April 29 to 30. In turn, those classified in the national competition will go on to the International and Ibero-American Olympiad.
The following schools were represented in the regional phase: IES Luis Amigó, IES Padre Moret, IES Barañain, IES Navarro Villoslada, IES Benjamín de Tudela, high school Nuestra Señora del Huerto, high school San Francisco Javier, IES place de la Cruz, high school el Redín and high school San Cernin.
The ceremony to submission the winners of the regional phase was attended byItziar Vélaz, associate dean of the School of Science ; Carmen Sanmartín, professor at the University of Navarra and chair of the selection committee; Fermín Iribarren, Associate Dean Navarra at high school of Chemists; Víctor Martínez and Alfonso Cornejo, representatives of the Public University of Navarra; Daniel Plano, professor at the University of Navarra; and Borja Mora-Figueroa, director development the School of Science.
