The VIII edition of the International Oncology congress for Students of the University of Navarra started with the speech of the president of the organizing committee , the 6th year medical student Belén Alfonso Bartolozzi.

The welcoming ceremony was attended by the Vice President of research, Iciar Astiasarán. Next, Dr. Javier Zulueta, specialist in Pneumology at CUN, introduced Dr. Claudia I. Henschke, radiologist at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and pioneer in cancer screening. In the afternoon, nine presentations were given at position by students, who offered oral communications of a high scientific level. Dr. Fernández Hidalgo, for his part, made the visit and critique of the posters presented by five students and Dr. Martín Broto offered a masterful lecture on osteosarcomas, a subspecialty within Oncology.

Second workshop
The second workshop of the VIII congress International Oncology Students of the University of Navarra started with the oral communications of the students, among which the participation of one of the international representatives, M. Nadezhda, from Moscow, stood out. 

lecture This was followed by a keynote address by Professor David F. Yankelevich, a physician at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, entitled "To cancer diagnosis and therapy". 

lecture The interactive clinical cases session and the subsequent master class at position by Professor José Luis Rodríguez Peralto, pathologist at Hospital 12 de Octubre, brought the program at congress to a close.
