133 female researchers from the University are included in the CSIC's ranking of scientists with the greatest impact

133 female researchers from the University of Navarra, the Clinic, Cima IESE appear in the ranking compiled by the CSIC (Spanish National Research Council). Among them are 42 female scientists from Navarra affiliated with the university.
The ranking includes the 12,110 profiles of Spanish women (or women working in Spain) with the highest scientific output and research impact. The top 200 include six female researchers from the University: Gema Frühbeck, from the Clinic, ranked 36th; Maira Bes, from the School of Medicine, at No. 89; Estefanía Toledo, also from Medicine, at No. 100; and Amelia Martí del Moral, from Pharmacy and Nutrition, at No. 145. Rounding out the list are Arantxa González, a researcher at the Clinic from Pamplona, at No. 148; and María José Calasanz, from the School of Science, at number 195.
The ranking reflects themultidisciplinary research multidisciplinary conducted at various centers and Schools the University. Among the key research areas research these women are personalized medicine and cancer; precision nutrition; engineering, experimental sciences, the environment, and sustainability; the social sciences, the Humanities Economics.
The research conducted by the Schools various Schools , the Clinic, and the Cima is complemented by research conducted at the University of Navarra Cancer Center, Biodiversity and Environment Institute ), the Institute of Nutrition and Health, and the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS).

The ranking includes the 12,110 Google Scholar profiles with the best metrics (h-index and citations) and username assigned username , belonging to Spanish women conducting research in Spain or abroad, as well as foreign female researchers membership Spanish institutions. This edition includes the equivalent metrics from OpenAlex (a free, open-access Catalog that indexes scientific publications, authors, institutions, journals, and the citations they generate). The data collected between April 20 and 30, 2026.
The goal this ranking is to raise the profile of women researchers by using free, publicly accessible platforms (Google Scholar, ORCID, Openalex) that have the advantage of providing broader coverage than other bibliometric sources.
