Excitement, nerves and enthusiasm, protagonists of the first day at university

workshop Welcome to the new students of School of Education and Psychology

Excitement, nervousness, smiles and a lot of enthusiasm. That is the atmosphere that was experienced yesterday during the first welcome workshop of those who are already alumni of the University of Navarra. 170 new students who will begin their studies this year Degrees in Psychology, Education Primary, Education Infant, Pedagogy and the double Degrees that combines the latter with Primary Education y E. Infant Education.

The workshop began with some words of welcome from the dean, Concepción Naval: "Congratulations for being here. Some time ago you made a choice, you made an important decision, you chose where to study. You are fortunate to be able to receive this Education". The dean reminded the students that the stage they are starting today "will take up a few more happy years" and advised them to "be diligent, but also to get involved in university activities".

On the other hand, she also recalled that the relationship with advisors and professors is bilateral "Nobody learns without wanting to, approach them, ask for financial aid. They also learn with you". Likewise, the vice-dean of Practicum, Olga Lizasoáin, appealed to the need to have "trust": "We are here to help you, I ask you, even if you do not know us yet, to trust us in everything you need".

For her part, Marie-Anne Reynell, director of development, encouraged them to differentiate themselves from day one, as a strategy to stand out among the candidates of the future: "You will all leave here as graduates, but what subject professional do you want to be in the future? Start now to design your professional profile ".

Once the session was over, the students had the opportunity to listen to the presentations of upperclassmen and graduates who focused on explaining the international experiences they had made in the Practicum and volunteer activities projects in which they participated with Tantaka.
