52 students start their programs of study of Master's Degree in the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition

The School starts this year a new University Master's Degree in management of Pharma-Biotech Companies, which will begin in October at Campus in Madrid.

The School of Pharmacy and Nutrition has welcomed the 52 students from 6 different countries who will take one of its programs of postgraduate program: the Master's Degree European in Food, Nutrition and Metabolism (E-MENU), the Master's Degree in research, development and Drug Innovation (MIDI) and the Master's Degree in design Galenic and Manufacturing in the Pharmaceutical Industry (MDGFI).

In the case of Master's Degree E-MENU, the 13 new students starting this year come from Spain, Brazil, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico and Peru. The 30 new MIDI students are graduates of 9 different Spanish universities, as well as universities in Ecuador and Peru.

In addition, the MDGFI will have 9 new students who have completed their programs of study from Degree in 7 Spanish universities. The characteristics of the program - with a very relevant part internship in the Drug Manufacturing Pilot Plant at department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology- require small groups for its realization.

During the welcoming ceremony, Dr. Adela López de Cerain, dean of School, invited the students to make the most of the opportunities offered by the different programs: "The personalized training is the hallmark of the house. For this reason, you have many professionals at your disposal who work so that you can acquire the best professional skills and successfully enter the working world. Do your best and take advantage of all that the University has to offer.

For his part, Alfonso Vericat, director of development of Pharmacy and Nutrition, reminded them that "the good positions that the masters of the School obtain in the rankings are due to factors such as experience or the academic staffbut also to the effort that students put in every year, with their work and dedication, which they then show in the professional internship ".

New Master's Degree University management of Pharma-Biotech Companies

The School is aware that the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector is one of the most consolidated and dynamic sectors, although it is strongly conditioned by national and supranational regulators. For this reason, it has launched the UniversityMaster's Degree in management of Pharma-Biotech Companies, which will start at Campus in Madrid on October 1.

This program seeks to train specialized and versatile professionals, with analytical and reflective skills, with personal qualities that add value to business: work in a team, dynamic, proactive and flexible attitude, while maintaining an ethical attitude in line with the social responsibility of the company.

To this end, School has designed a training program that combines a solid academic foundation (taught by professors and collaborators from the University of Navarra, IESE Business School and industry professionals) with an internship at business.
