"For three weeks, two groups will be established, the control group and the study group, randomly, which will receive general nutritional recommendations. During this time, both groups will also have to consume a shake that will replace breakfast".
The research is part of the project ALISSEC, an initiative of the Agri-Food Cluster of Navarra (NAGRIFOOD), which is funded by the Regional Government and in which the University of Navarra and the Public University of Navarra participate as centers of research, and the companies Tutti Pasta, group AN, Apex and Sanygran. The project seeks to sustainably produce new ingredients and healthy foods obtained through the application of the circular Economics taking advantage of alternative crops and by-products generated in Navarra that provide a high content of protein, fiber and/or bioactive compounds of interest.
