The first session of the "BIOMA Talks" series, organized by the University of Navarra and the Impactun Foundation, was held at the academic center's campus in Madrid. Aimed at people in management positions and under the degree scroll "The work as a human vector for sustainable development " experts Ana Marta González -researcher at the University of Navarra- and Fernando Riaño -director sustainability, ESG and institutional relations of group ONCE- discussed the need to strengthen the humanistic vision of work, from which the economic development does not neglect human, moral and relational values. The conversation was moderated by Ignacio López-Goñi, director of the Science Museum of the University of Navarra, who explained the keys of the future BIOMA Centera project that aims to promote research in the different areas of sustainability, a transformative teaching and the scientific knowledge dissemination .

For Ana Marta González "putting people at the center contributes not only with market and monetary goods but also relational ones, thus generating a socially sustainable ecosystem. With meaning, individual tasks cease to be isolated and meaningless tasks and become involved, together with other professionals, in a common goal ".

Fernando Riaño based his speech on the impact that work has on the well-being of people and their families, and encouraged companies to be more humane and inclusive. "Either companies are more social or they will have no future," he said, "since no organization can grow harmoniously and sustainably if it acts outside social realities. "Today, unwanted loneliness and mental health are the great evils of our society," he said and encouraged companies to work on the theory of the three R's: with responsibility, growing reputation and profitability.

The next sessions will be held on November 24 and January 12.
