A welcoming workshop full of surprises

First year students attended a roundtable with upperclassmen and took a visit tour of the Museum on their first day at the University.

On Monday, September 4, the new academic year 2017-2018 began and with it began the new promotions of the Degrees and double Degrees of the School of Education and Psychology. In this course a total of 172 students have enrolled in this School, which represents an increase of 23 people over the previous year. In addition, there was a strong presence of international students: 32.8% in Psychology and 15% in Education.

The welcoming workshop began at classroom Magna with the words of the dean of the School, Concepción Naval, who emphasized the importance and the social duty of the students to the rest of the world in order to improve it. "Many young people in the world have not been able to have the Education that you have received, nor will they be able to have it," she said. He also encouraged the new students to contribute with small good deeds to the common good.

Next, the vice dean of students, Sonia Rivasthen offered a series of practical tips for students to help them to get on well within the University and emphasized the importance of explaining in detail the advisory work done by university tutors. "It is an opportunity to learn from other people, with other origins, with another training", Rivas pointed out in relation to the promotion of an integral training of student body.

Then it was the turn of Marie-Anne Reynelldirector of development at School, who stressed the importance of adapting to changes in the world, especially in terms of technology and social networks: "It is important that you are open-minded, flexible, curious, eager to learn and reflect. Sharing experiences

The workshop ended with a guided visit tour of the University of Navarra Museumwhich included the projection of 3D trailers and the participation in a workshop of plastic arts that had as goal to promote creativity.
