British Daniel Moulin and Italian Alex Armand, new researchers at the ICS of the University of Navarra

The Institute for Culture and Societyresearch center at Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Navarra, incorporates two new researchers in the 2014-2015 academic year. Daniel Moulin, Ph.D. from the University of Oxford, will be part of 'Religion and Civil SocietyD. from Oxford University and Alex Armand, doctorate from the University College Londonfrom the Navarra Center for International Development (NCID).

Daniel Moulin comes to the ICS after a postdoctoral stay at the University of Geneva (Switzerland). University of Geneva (Switzerland). His research focuses on the areas of Philosophy of the Education, spirituality, Education intercultural and religion. The prestigious publishing house Bloomsbury published in 2011 his latest book, Leo Tolstoy. Between 2011 and 2013 she was director of Somerville College Chapel in the UK.

Alex Armand is an economist specializing in development and Microeconomics. Prior to joining the NCID team, he was a researcher visitor to the high school of programs of study Fiscales. His latest research focuses on the effect of conditionalcash transfers.

Researchers with shared dedication and new Ph.

Rocío Davis will combine her research activity at the project 'Emotional culture and identity' with the teaching in School from Philosophy and Letters and Ruth Breeze will share her dedication to the project 'Public discourse' with the teaching in the institute of modern languages. Meanwhile, Cristina López del Burgo will join the project ' 'Education on affectivity and human sexuality' at the same time that she will continue as professor and researcher in the School of Medicine.   

The program ATLANTES will welcome as visiting researchers Carole Robinson from the University of British Columbia (Canada) and Nunziata Comoretto from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Italy). In addition, David Clark, director from the School of Interdisciplinary programs of study at the University of Glasgow (UK), will join the program as Visiting Professor.

Likewise, the Bolivian Sergio Daga will begin his thesis at the NCID, project and will also be joined by the Filipino Tomás Roque and the American Paul Atwell as assistants at research. Irene García, in the ATLANTES program, and José Víctor Orón, in the group Mind-brain.

Other new developments

José María Torralba, of 'Natural law and rationality internship' and 'Emotional culture and identity', will focus on his work as director of high school of Anthropology and Ethics and as professor and researcher at Philosophy and Letters.

Erick Jiménez has returned to the USA after a year as researcher in 'Natural Law and Rationality internship'; Carlos Blanco, from group group 'Mind-brain', has joined the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas and Álvaro Morcillo (NCID), will carry out a research stay at Oxford University. On the other hand, Juan Pablo Domínguez will carry out stays of research in different academic centers, among them Yale University, although he will continue to be partner of 'Religion and Civil Society'.

NCID research assistants Héctor Cárcel, Pierce King and Gabriela de la Oliva have finished their training period at ICS and 'Religion and Civil Society' doctoral student Cecilia Coronado will finish it from the Universidad Panamericana in Mexico.
