The GRISO organizes in Philadelphia an international congress on power conflicts in the Hispanic world of the Golden Age.
Held at the University of Pennsylvania, it is part of the series of conferences on "Authority and Power".
The department of History of the University of Pennsylvania and the group of research Siglo de Oro (GRISO) of the University of Navarra have co-organized the congress International "Power Conflicts in the Hispanic World of the Golden Age", held in Philadelphia (USA) last October. Speakers from Spain, France, Italy, Germany and the United States participated in the meeting . The School of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Navarra was represented by professors Ignacio Arellano, who spoke on "Conflictos de poder en los autos sacramentales de Calderón", Andrés Eichmann, with the discussion paper "Votos a favor del regalismo en el alto clero charqueño" and Jesús María Usunáriz, who spoke on "Crítica, sátira y política exterior en la España del siglo XVII".

The next meeting, before the end of 2010, is planned in Coimbra (Portugal), at partnership with the University of Coimbra.
