El Instituto de Estudios Tirsianos del GRISO inicia la publicación de nueva serie de 'Obras completas' de Tirso de Molina
The GRISO's high school de programs of study Tirsianos starts the publication of a new series of Tirso de Molina's 'Obras completas'.
The first Issue of the 'First part of comedies' has just been published.
The first Issue of the Primera parte de comedias by Tirso de Molina has just been published, within the collection Library Services Áurea Hispánica of the publishing house Vervuert-Iberoamericana. It is an edition of the Institute of programs of study Tirsianos (IET) of the group of research Siglo de Oro (GRISO) of the University of Navarra directed by Ignacio Arellano, which has counted with the partnership of Blanca Oteiza for the revision, unification and adaptation of the comedies to the criteria of the new collection.
Some years ago, the IET had initiated the publication of a series of programs of study and editions of Tirso's works: among other volumes, the complete autos sacramentales and the Cuarta parte de comedias of the Mercedarian playwright were published at the time. Now, with this first Issue, a new series of his complete works begins, in a commercial publishing house , which will mean a much wider diffusion.
This first volume of the Primera parte de comedias includes three titles: Palabras y plumas, edited by José E. López Martínez; El pretendiente al revés, edited by Eva Galar Irurre, which is a revision of the one previously published in 2005; and El árbol del mejor fruto, edited by Ignacio Arellano. The preliminaries of the Primera parte de comedias, edited by Carola Sbriziolo, are also reproduced.
