Ignacio Arellano, director of group of research Siglo de Oro (GRISO) and professor of the School of Philosophy y Letras, has given the masterful lecture of the international congress Social transformations in the process of modernization. Cultural and Historical Perspective in Latin America, which took place in Seoul, South Korea.

This meeting, organized by the high school of programs of study Latin American of the Seoul National University, brought together some thirty specialists from countries such as Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Iran, Mexico and Spain. Professor Ignacio Arellano gave a lecture on social satire in America in the Golden Age.

He also took advantage of his visit to Seoul to present the I Ibero-Asian congress of Hispanists Golden Age and General Hispanism to be held in Delhi in November 2010. This great international congress , co-organized by GRISO-University of Navarra and the University of Delhi, aims to bring together Hispanists from all over the world, but especially those from Asia.
