About twenty students of Law, Law and Philosophy and Law and International Office of the University have held a meeting with the spokespersons of the parliamentary groups to address the figure of the parliamentarian, from a legal, staff and social point of view. This is a new edition of the 'Encounters between Parliamentarians and University Students', a forum of discussion organized in the framework of the activities of the classroom of Parliamentary Law, contemplated within the agreement subscribed between the Chamber and the University of Navarra.
Held behind closed doors in the Plenary Hall, during the meeting the students have taken the opportunity to ask the students about issues such as dependence on group, professional vocation, the social image of the position public or how to improve the quality of political life.
They were also interested in how a parliamentarian influences society and how to deal with the disaffection of citizens towards politics and towards politicians and public representatives.
The parliamentarians who have participated in this colloquium have been the following: Javier Esparza (Navarra Suma), Ramón Alzórriz (PSN), María Solana (Geroa Bai), Laura Aznal (EH Bildu) and Marisa de Simón (G-Mixto Izquierda-Ezkerra).
