project PLEXUS organizes in Italy the Women in PLEXUS Workshop on Substructural Logics

The meeting had for goal promote and encourage the research of women researchers in the field of substructural logics.

The Women in PLEXUS Workshop on Substructural Logics was held at the Palazzo Nuovo in Turin (Italy) from December 4 to 6. The meeting was organized by the project of research European PLEXUS. Philosophical, Logical, and Experimental Routes to Substructurality. (MSCA Staff Exchanges 2021 (HORIZON-MSCA-2021-SE-01).

The meeting was an opportunity to increase the visibility of significant contributions made by women in the field of substructural logics. The maingoal of this workshop was twofold: first, promote the research made by women researchers in this area; and second, to introduce students and researchers in the early stages of their degree program to open problems within this topic.

Four invited researchers participated in the workshop with the following papers: Noemí Lubomirsky (National University of La Plata) "Algebraic semantics for substructural logics: BL-algebras and subvarieties"; Pilar Terrés Villalonga (University of Valencia): "Meaning, contextualism and minimalism: the case for non-commutative linear logic"; Paula Teijeiro (CONICET-University of Buenos Aires), "Valuations validity and meta-inferences" and Elaine Pimentel (University College London): "Playing with modalities".

The organizing committee was also formed by four women: Martina Zirattu (Università di Torino), Mariela Rubin (University of Buenos Aires, CONICET), Maria Beatrice Buonaguidi (King's College London) and Agustina Borzi (University of Buenos Aires, CONICET).
