Mª Raquel García Arancón, professor at department of History of the School of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Navarra, has recently published the book La dinastía de Champaña en Navarra. Teobaldo I, Teobaldo II y Enrique I (1234-1274), a work published by Trea that presents the reigns of the three Navarrese monarchs of this lineage.
"As in any history of kings, the most relevant part of the exhibition is the acts of government," says the author. "Foreign relations gained relevance in this period, with the European projection of Navarre", she explains. To which she adds that "the important novelties introduced by the Champañeses in the administration of the kingdom affected both the central government cadres and the territorial organization".
Mª Raquel García Arancón holds a PhD in History from the University of Navarra. Associate Professor of this department and deputy director of high school of programs of study Medieval of the academic center, has researched various topics of history of Navarre in the leave Age average, collected in 8 books, 45 articles and 15 contributions in collective works.
