The University of Navarra submission the awards of the contest "award al Talento 2010".
The winners are Eduardo Rul-Lan and Diego Galán, students of Medicine, and María Arbeloa, of Hispanic Philology and Journalism.
The University of Navarra today presented the awards for theaward al Talento 2010" contest, organized by the Admissions Office of the academic center.
The first award went to Eduardo Rul-Lan, a student of Medicine, who received a 2,500 euro discount on his first year's enrollment . Diego Galán, also a student of Medicine, and María Arbeloa, a student of Hispanic Philology and Journalism, received a discount of 1,000 euros. Two special mentions were also awarded to Ignacio Fernández Ráfales (Architecture) and Fátima Tovar (History+Journalism).
The competition is aimed at 2nd year high school diploma students in Spain, or the equivalent in other educational systems, admitted to the University of Navarra. Students have to tell in an original way, in the form of a video or text, the degree program they wish to study and how they believe they can contribute in the future to the improvement of society.
Eighty-five students participated in the contest, of which 24 submitted a video and 61 a text. All the works can be consulted at www.enbuscadetalento.com. The event was attended by Alejandro Palacios Elizalde, head of the General administrative office of the Navarre Youth Institute; Juan de los Ángeles, director of the Admissions Office; and Javier Santos, delegate in Navarre of this service.
