Federico place, director of Government Affairs at Roche Spain, gave the opening address at lecture of the Master's Degree in management of Pharma-Biotech Companies of the University of Navarra, which is attended by thirty-six students from the areas of Biology, Biomedicine, Biochemistry , Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Engineering, Neurosciences, Nutrition and Chemistry.

place stressed the importance of "continually training and enjoying what wedo" and added that the opportunities being offered in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector are "the greatest in a long time".

In view of this, he encouraged the students to remain "open to change", as he assured that "they are constant and always an element of motivation and creativity. Changes must be understood positively, they are opportunities and a permanent stimulus".

In the lecture, Federico place addressed, among others, issues such as the regulation of the sector, the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic, drug patents and their relationship with innovation in research and development+I or personalized medicine.

The opening ceremony of the Program Master's Degree, was also attended by the director of the Campus of Madrid, Ángel J. Gómez Montoro, the dean of the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition, María Javier Ramírez, and the director of the Master's Degree, Dr. Juan Manuel Irache.
