The exhibition Curriculum will tour the cities of Brasilia (DF), São Luís (MA) and São Paulo (SP) between April and October 2025. The sample presents works by 32 professionals from countries such as Argentina, Ecuador and Chile, and celebrates the architecture produced in Latin America.
The arrival of the exhibition in Brazil is the result of a partnership between the Institute of Architects of Brazil (IAB), the University of Navarra and the Spanish Embassy in Brazil, through the America Forum. This Forum aims to train architecture professionals, and to promote research and partnership between universities of the American continent and the University of Navarra.
The sample projects include residential, corporate and ephemeral works, developed by architects and alumni of the Master's Degree in Architectural design (currently Master's Degree in Architectural Theory and design ) of the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra.
"The arrival of the exhibition in Brazil has great significance for us, as it reflects the prominence of Brazilian architecture and the willingness to exchange ideas. The works portrayed show the technical quality and the sensitivity of their authors to the needs that the projects must meet. More than that, they all have a commitment with the valorization of the Latin American soul and with the elaboration of an essence that translates our origins. In this sense, the America Forum, of which the IAB is a signatory, enhances and stimulates this fruitful relationship between the countries", emphasizes Odilo Almeida, national president of the IAB.
The program will include an international colloquium and a guided visit .
The first stage of theCurrículum exhibition will be in Brasilia, where the works will be exhibited at the Gallery of the School of Architecture of the University of Brasilia (FAU-UnB) between April 8 and May 7.
For the launch, a colloquium will be held with several names in Latin American architecture. Fredy Massad, architecture critic and director of the America Forum of the University of Navarra, will also be present and will lead a guided visit of the exhibition.
On the 9th, starting at 3:00 p.m., there will be thematic round tables on exhibitions and the production of Latin American architecture. This will be followed by the main lecture of the colloquium, with presentations by Gabriel Biagioni, of the Argentinean firm Biagioni Arquitectura and one of the architects who are part of the exhibition, and Daniel Mangabeira, of the Brazilian firm Bloco Arquitectos.

"The Embassy of Spain continues to promote meeting spaces between Brazil and Spain, two friendly countries with vibrant societies and excellent relations in many areas. With this exhibition, in which IAB and the University of Navarra come together, we generate an essential dialogue on the future of architecture in the Ibero-American core topic ," said the Spanish ambassador to Brazil, Mar Fernández-Palacios.
exhibition structure uses environmentally friendly material and versatile mounting system
With the ability to be transported around the world and mounted in different spaces in mind, the physical structure of theCurrículum exhibition was produced in Re-board, an environmentally friendly material made in Sweden that is water and fire resistant. When disassembled, the entire structure fits into eight large suitcases and can be assembled in different configurations.
The sample has toured 17 times in 5 different countries: The United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Bolivia and Argentina. It was created proposal Qut Ediciones (Spain) and Bisman Ediciones (Argentina), who realized that some of the emerging architecture in Latin America had in common the training in the Master's Degree in Architectural design (currently Master's Degree in Architectural Theory and design ) offered by the University of Navarra.
According to Carlos Naya, director of the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra: "Currículum sample that the quality of a program and of a School is the quality of its alumni, who are capable of spreading throughout America, with their work and their teaching, the values of an architecture rooted in their culture. "This exhibition," adds Naya, "should serve as a sincere thank you to these alumni".
The 33 works on display also make up the book Curriculum. Both initiatives are the result the America Forum, the result of an agreement signed between the Pan-American Federation of Architects Associations(FPAA) and the University of Navarra.
