Iranzu Peña and Miguel Monreal, professors at the Instituto de language y Cultura Españolas (ILCE), presented at the "XXII meeting práctico de ELE"in Barcelona a paper entitled "The Pechakucha Pechakucha method in the classroom of ELE".

At meeting, organized by International House and the publishing house Difusiónlanguage annually, around 450 teachers and specialists in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language from all over the world participate, who analyze the latest trends in this field discipline.

The presentation of professors Peña and Monreal dealt with the use of the Pechakucha 20x20 format in the classroom of Spanish as a foreign language language . This format of short and agile presentations (20 images, 20 seconds each) was devised by architects Klein and Dytham, and is rapidly spreading to various fields such as fashion, architecture or business.

Pechakucha has also begun to be used in some universities, although it is still largely unknown among language teachers. The ILCE began to require its international students to use this presentation format during the current academic year, obtaining very revealing results.
