3 female students from School Pharmacy and Nutrition relate their experience at the Innovation Fast Track 2018.

They have obtained the first award with the project Flash: a subway goods transport system in polypropylene capsules.

The students of postgraduate program of the School Pharmacy and Nutrition of the University of Navarra -CeliaBurgaz (Master's Degree E-MENU 2018), Andrea Gila (Master's Degree E-MENU 2018) and Ana Pérez framework (Master's Degree MIDI 2018); together with the also students of campus Álvaro Martínez and Celia Canseco- have obtained the first award in the second edition of the Innovation Fast Track, organized by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the University of Navarra.

Its project, called Flash, consists of a subway goods transport system in polypropylene capsules.

For the first of its members, Celia Burgaz, a student of the European postgraduate program in Food, Nutrition and Metabolism, the experience has been very enriching: "We have gone through several stages that have strengthened us. We came from the field of health and this project has allowed us to enter the field of business, marketing and finance. In this sense, the principles of organization and communication that we see in the Master's Degree E-MENU have also been very useful for us result to meet the timelines of project and to transmit our more futuristic vision to the jury".

"The five of us are very proud of result and grateful to the University for the training it is giving us and for offering us this great opportunity", continues Celia. Andrea Gila (also a student of Master's Degree E-MENU) signed up for this challenge from the beginning of the course: "I thought it was an ideal complement to my training. In addition, it has allowed me to meet new people, to participate in a group multidisciplinary and to learn from incredible professionals. It has been 6 months of thinking big, collaborating, contributing ideas, seeing options very different from my own, making an effort to put us on agreement and for apply for financial aid if we needed it."

"I have learned the process of creating a business, improved my public speaking skills and learned that whoever wants to, can, as long as the work and effort are constant. In this sense, the University of Navarra is teaching me to think critically and to reason, and I believe that thanks to that we have won the IFT," Andrea ends.

Trip to Tel Aviv

The award of the competition consists of a trip to Tel Aviv to get to know the Israeli entrepreneurial ecosystem.Ana Pérez framework - who is studying this year the Master's Degree MIDI in the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition - recognizes that she had a head start in the competition because in her postgraduate program there is an outstanding part on development and innovation (of drugs, for example), "we study from the research preclinical to the commercialization. I also have to thank MIDI for their model of work, where we developed many team projects and presentations. Now it has helped me to win the IFT, but in the future it will help me to work in multidisciplinary teams in the pharmaceuticalindustry," he emphasizes.

"The Innovation Fast Track is a great experience and recommended for all students, which complements the training of all Degrees", culminates Ana.
