Who is behind the fact that everything in the buildings works properly? To whom do we owe that "How well taken care of everything is..."? Who makes our University a place you would not want to leave? There are many answers and today we bring you one of them: the Maintenance Service. The team is big, as big as our thanks for their work. On behalf of all of them, we put ourselves in the shoes of Pablo Sáez, a fan of Queen, cheese with quince jelly and Soria.

1. What is the day-to-day at your work?
We have an application where different requests appear and are distributed by trades (electricity, mechanics, plumbing, carpentry). When we arrive in the morning, we check the tasks assigned to us and go to the buildings where incidents have been reported.

2. What are the main problems you usually face at Maintenance Service?
The most common problems are usually related to lighting and toilets. Also with the air conditioning, especially in very cold or very hot weather.

3. What is the best thing about your work?
It is very rewarding. There are times when you need a special calm, patience, effort... and sometimes it is not easy. But when you manage to solve a problem, you see that it was worth it.

4. What does a perfect day at the University look like for you?
The day when you manage to finish all the assigned tasks. That allows you to dedicate more time to pay attention to the little details that may go unnoticed, to fix one thing here, another there... Because there is always something to do.

5. Is there anything that is skill of Maintenance Service but that, in general, we don't know that you are the ones in charge of it?
We don't do anything now that people don't know about. But it used to be different: sometimes in science, when they had to do experiments, they would say "I would need a little box with a door that lifts up and down", or "I would need a maze for mice", and we would make it ourselves.

6. And we, how can we help to keep the University in good condition?
Things can always happen, it is inevitable, but we try to take care of everything in daily use. It is also of great financial aid that you notify us of possible incidents. And a little courtesy when you see someone on the stairs carrying a toolbox.

7. A place to get lost.
I would love to go live in China.

8. What would you take with you to a desert island?
Music and books.

9. Perfect menu: first course, main course and dessert.
A good salad, fried eggs and tripe, and red wine with soda. And for dessert: coffee with a shot of orujo de hierbas and cheese with quince jelly.

10. Favorite corner of the University.
Some of the workshops, when I can be doing a work quietly.

11. The best of your land.
A land very dear to me is Soria. The best thing was renting a boat and rowing on the Duero.

12. Hobby.
Hiking in the mountains. I try to go every week.

13. group favorite music.
This is a tough one... but if I have to choose, I would say Queen.

14. A film that has marked you.
I think "Marcelino, pan y vino" is spectacular.

15. This Champions League will be won by...
Madrid, I guess.

Rafa Nadal or Fernando Alonso?
Rafa, by far.

Will he come back?
He shouldn't, and he won't.

17. Someone who inspires you.
My mother.

18. Something that makes your day.
Having a leisurely breakfast with my coffee while I do my Sudoku.

19. The University of Navarra is...
My home. My father worked here, my brothers studied here, two of my daughters also, I work here... My home.
