The session served to share with them the result of a strategic process in which they have also participated, through surveys and work groups.
In this context, Isabel presented the Strategy 2025-2030 "A university for all", explaining that it is a plan that seeks to align efforts in common goals that strengthen the identity and mission statement of the University.explaining that it is a plan that seeks to align efforts in common goals that strengthen the identity and mission statement of the University. "If the work is relevant and meaningful, it has an impact on the professions," she said, also stressing the importance of "doing science and doing it well."
During her speech, Isabel explained how the Strategy is articulated around three main axes - talent, science and commitment - and shared some of the challenges that the University intends to face in the coming years. Among them, she talked about the search for talent and the promotion of Alumni Scholarships, the new lines of interdisciplinary research in areas such as advanced therapies, nutrition and health, sustainability, digital transition or theology of work. Also mentioned was the University's intention to play an active role in issues of social impact such as the ethics of the professions, the integration of artificial intelligence in teaching and research and the communication of knowledge to society.
The event also included a speech by Javier Sagi-Vela, Institutions manager at Banco Santander, and a space for questions in which the Alumni could share their impressions about this new strategic stage.
The workshop concluded with a cocktail that became a moment of reunion, where alumni from different promotions and careers were able to exchange experiences and share memories and news of their careers.
