The School of Medicine of the University of Navarra and the Felipe Lecea Foundation - Clínica Josefina Arregui have signed a partnership agreement partnership agreement with the goal of offering a quality training internship to students. This agreement will allow students of the School of Medicine to carry out academic internships in the facilities of the Clinic, located in Alsasua, supervised by tutors from both the Clinic and the University itself, which guarantee a complete training experience adapted to academic standards.
"This agreement reinforces our commitment to comprehensive medical training , in which the internship experience is a core topic for the development of our students," says Dr. Marta Ferrer, dean of the School of Medicine. "Having the Josefina Arregui Clinic as a training center allows us to bring our students closer to the reality of medical care and strengthen their professional skills".
The agreement is part of the School of Medicine's strategy to expand the network of collaborating centers and strengthen the teaching internship of its Degree and postgraduate program programs. This reinforces the University of Navarra's commitment to excellence in medical training , bringing the student body closer to reference letter centers that complement their academic learning with high-level practical experiences.
For his part, Angel Gardachal,General Manager of director Josefina Arregui Clinic, emphasizes the value that this alliance brings to both students and the healthcare institution. It also responds to the center's commitment to training and professional development in the fields of geriatrics and psychogeriatrics, which is channeled through its professor Unit. From this unit, the Clinic regularly welcomes doctors and nurses in training for rotations within the spanish medical residency program and EIR. "The agreement signed with the University of Navarra is a step forward in this professor trajectory, expanding the specialized training in psychogeriatrics and contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge and the welfare of the elderly with dementia and other neuropsychiatric disorders".
