The 26 students from 7 countries (Mexico, Paraguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Ukraine and Spain) of the class issue 11 of the Master's Degree in Educational and Psychological Intervention (MIEP) began their studies in these programs of study of postgraduate program last Monday, September 25. At the opening ceremony, the dean of the School of Education and PsychologyConcepción Naval, wanted to make a brief overview of the history of the University of Navarra, which she summarized in three main ideas: a genuine university, with social mission statement , open to society and its problems, from a human and Christian point of view, which promotes the cultivation of people's freedom.

Professor Naval wanted to make reference letter at the beginning of this new journey on the part of the students "despite the smallness of everything that begins, we are called to do something big", and pointed out that a master's degree does not exclusively train experts, but should be a place where the training should be comprehensive and should promote the search for truth, since it is difficult to be an expert without being a complete person. He also stressed the importance of the training of experts for society. Finally, he added: "The University will have fulfilled its mission if its students have been able to convert the desire to know into a desire to know how to know".

Then, the director of Master's Degree, Professor Rosario Repáraz, explained to the attendees the dynamics of the program, its structure in three modules (the fundamentals of educational intervention, the areas and fields of intervention and the third the Practicum, with its external practices and the TFM). He also wanted to emphasize the seminars for professionals which take place from October to March.

After Professor Repáraz's speech, Juan Gimeno and Mónica Sepúlveda, responsible for Admissions Office and coordination of the MIEP, gave a brief explanation of the reason for Master's Degree and explained the academic calendar program.
