How do we make inclusive values attractive to young people? This is the goal of theErasmus + research project Making inclusive values attractive in secondary education, which aims to provide teachers with tools so that they can promote initiatives that encourage inclusion in the classroom, and help promote moral and civic attitudes among students.

The researchers Concepción Naval, Aurora Bernal and Álvaro Balaguer, belonging to the research group Education, Citizenship and Character of the University of Navarra, will work for two years with the universities of Tartu, in Estonia; the University of Latvia, as well as two training centers in Riga (Latvia), another in Estonia, and one in Valencia (Spain). The experts will coordinate with the sixty teachers who will participate in this project: "This transnational research will bring together the best practices and the most advanced knowledge on the promotion of inclusive values, from a social and cultural perspective, among adolescents in schools," says Naval.

Among the tools that the faculty will have at their disposal is a guidebased on the different lines of research and a 12-hour training course to support teachers in "making inclusive valuesattractive".

In addition, the project will also work with teachers and students in the field of professional training , and will emphasize faculty with more years of experience as well as students with special needs. In this way, the project fulfills another goal: "to approach environments with fewer opportunities, such as teachers who work with young people at risk of exclusion, migrants, refugees or people with disabilities, and to provide teachers with the necessary means to facilitate the integration of all of them in an educational process that improves them as people," concludes Naval.
