The president, María Iraburu, has appointed Ana Marta González as director of the department at Philosophy. She replaces Agustín Echavarría at position , who will continue to develop his activity professor and research at department.

Ana Marta González is professor of Philosophy Moral and researcher at Institute for Culture and Society, of which she was scientific director between 2012 and 2019. Her line of research moves between the Philosophy moral and social sciences. 

With 4 sexenios of research, throughout his degree program he has directed 8 projects of research, 4 of them in the national plan. She currently coordinates the line of research "work, care and development" of the Strategy 2025 and directs the Chair Idea of New Longevities at Institute for Culture and Society.

Author of numerous publications, in 2016 she was appointed Ordinary Member of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences.

The board of the School of Philosophy and Letters thanked Professor Echavarría for his work and dedication to department during these years.
