CEIT will showcase its advanced railway technology solutions at InnoTrans 2026
From September 22 to 25 in Berlin, the technology center will showcase developments focused on the smart digitization of infrastructure, the automation of rail operations, and advanced maintenance and sustainable manufacturing

CEIT will participate from September 22 to 25 in InnoTrans 2026, the leading international trade fair for the railway sector, to be held in Berlin, Germany. From Hall 12, Booth 330, the technology center will present a selection of prototypes developed to address some of the key challenges facing the railway industry today: improving the safety and reliability of infrastructure, optimizing operations, and moving toward more efficient and sustainable maintenance.
CEIT ’s “ proposal ” for this edition is structured around three major technological areas: the smart digitization of infrastructure, the automation of rail operations, and advanced maintenance and sustainable manufacturing. These developments reflect the applied work of research that the center carries out at partnership in collaboration with companies and organizations in the sector to transform scientific knowledge into solutions with industrial applications.
Among the demonstrations that will be on display at the booth, one that stands out is a system for analyzing vehicle-track dynamics during passing maneuvers. This technology makes it possible to study the interaction between the rail vehicle and the infrastructure, facilitating the design of solutions that help increase the safety and reliability of rail operations.
In the field of asset management, CEIT will present a smart monitoring solution based on advanced physical models and data analysis. The demonstrator combines dynamic infrastructure simulation, time-frequency signal processing, and sensor optimization to improve asset monitoring and enable more accurate predictive maintenance strategies.
Automation and connectivity will also play a prominent role. Visitors will be able to see a model of autonomous driving based on ATO (Automatic Train Operations) technologies, developed to improve the safety and efficiency of special rail vehicles, as well as a multimode communications platform capable of integrating 3G, 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, and satellite communications to ensure continuous and secure connectivity in rail environments.
The " exhibition " will also include a functional engine mockup for demonstrating technologies applied to railway traction systems. This solution will allow for the visualization of capabilities for analyzing, monitoring, and improving the performance of critical propulsion components.
The field of advanced maintenance will be represented by two developments aimed at extending the service life of railway assets. On the one hand, Rail Repairado will showcase the potential of laser-based additive manufacturing for the repair and restoration of worn rails. On the other hand, the Smart NDT & Structural Health Monitoring solution will combine non-destructive testing techniques, in-service monitoring, and artificial intelligence to predictively assess the structural and metallurgical condition of railway components.
Through this participation, CEIT reinforces its commitment to transferring knowledge to the rail sector and its partnership with manufacturers, operators, and infrastructure managers to address the challenges of an increasingly safe, efficient, and sustainable mobility .
