Victoria Rodríguez, director of the Master's Degree in design and management of Hospitality Services, welcomed the 14 students of the first promotion of the postgraduate program. During the inauguration, Victoria addressed them as the next leaders of "a transforming and necessary sector for humanization", highlighting the value of "excellence in service, care and dignity of the person".

During the workshop, the professors received a work in which Fernando Ruiz, Deputy Director of the Master's Degree, explained "the model of care" and how to implement it in the classroom: "The basis of the Master's Degree is a model of care that has to be lived and taught, and we will allow time for teaching and evaluation methodologies to be adapted to this reality", he said.

The opening session was position by Ana María López de San Román, director of sustainability and ethics at Ilunion, who invited the students to reflect on the relationship between the promotion and development of the person within hospitality leadership. "If each person has infinite dignity, our role as leaders changes, because we don't just manage services, we create environments where dignity flourishes." In addition, he invited to look around and asked if processes and policies promote that dignity and if the training of professionals makes them see beyond the role and allows them to recognize the person.

Cóilín Ohaodha, director of ISSA School of Applied Management, took advantage of the meeting to recall that "having our school represented at the postgraduate program headquarters in Madrid is a milestone. The Master's Degree in design and management of Hospitality Services is dedicated to the care of people, a goal for which the University of Navarra works every day".
