The III edition of the Master's Degree in Matrimonial Law and Canonical Procedural Law of the University of Navarra begins

The Master's Degree in Marriage Law and Canonical Procedure of the University begins its third edition with 17 new students. During the first week, held in Madrid from September 8 to 12, they met some of the professors and had several training sessions. From now on, they will study online until June, when they will attend their second week on Campus in Pamplona.
Professor Jorge Castro Trapote offered a welcoming session in which he emphasized the service that this program provides to the Church, the academic tradition of the University of Navarra and the central role of Canon Marriage Law in the juridical renewal of the Church.
In his speech, he explained that this Master's Degree wants to be a service rendered to the Church and that its goal is not to compete, but to collaborate so that other professionals can also serve with quality in this area of Canon Law. He emphasized that the Master's Degree the University of Navarra provides a service "not only quantitative but qualitative" thanks to some of its own nuances, in continuity with the bequest of the School of Navarra, summarized in the centrality of the fundamental rights of the faithful, the conviction that Canon Law is authentic law and the special attention to the legal technique.
During the week, the students participated in various academic sessions that addressed different aspects of matrimonial and canonical procedural law, such as the anthropological configuration of marriage and the family, the current regulation of the Church in matrimonial subject , the rights of the person in the Church, the laws and reforms in the canonical process or matrimonial regulation. The week ended on Friday with a visit to the Tribunal of the Rota of the Apostolic Nunciature in Spain, which allowed the students to learn first hand about the judicial internship in the ecclesial context.
