Álvaro Balibrea

GENERAL MANAGER

Álvaro Balibrea is a native of Murcia, graduate in Hispanic Philology from the University of Murcia, PhD in Applied Linguistics and Executive MBA from IESE. He has spent his entire professional career at the University.

After teaching at School of Humanities and Social Sciences and collaborating as assistant to the in the direction of studies, he was appointed director of International Office (2004-12) and later director of Admissions, position , which he has held since 2011. He has been scholarship recipient FPU of the Ministry of Education and visiting scholar at University College London and University of Limerick.

He has participated as a representative of the University before international organisations such as the European University Association, the American Association for University Administrators, IREG (International Ranking Experts Group) and the CIS (Council for International Schools). He has collaborated in advisory projects for private and public entities, such as the implementation of the Navarra Internationalisation Plan. He is Honorary Consul of the Republic of Ecuador in the Autonomous Community of Navarre.
