The Sports Service of the University of Navarra has reached an agreement with the Disc Golf association Baxi Basajauna for the creation of a course where the university community -faculty, employees and students- will be able to practice this sport.
Disc Golf is a sport similar to golf, but instead of using a ball and clubs, players throw a flying disc or frisbee which, instead of in holes, they have to place in baskets with chains. It is usually played in a field of 9 or 18 baskets. Players complete a course by throwing a disc from a starting area into a basket, throwing again from where the previous throw landed, until it reaches the basket. These are formed by hanging chains above the basket, designed to catch incoming discs, which then fall into the basket.
The University of Navarra course will be registered in the PDGA and will appear in all Disc Golf APPs that exist worldwide.
In recent months, the University has expanded its sports offerings for students to include disciplines such as Ultimate Frisbee, Flag Football, Cornhole and Pickelball.
