Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics students participate in international program in Estonia

Ten students of the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, accompanied by Professor Marta Cuervo, from the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition, participated last week in an academic stay at the University of Tartu (Estonia).

The activity arises from a partnership between the University of Tartu, the University of Leuven and the University of Navarra, in place since 2012. In turn, this stay is part of the International Nutrition Certificate (INC), a diploma promoted by the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition that seeks to promote academic exchange , cooperation between students and the training of professionals with a global vision in the field of nutrition.

For five days, the work groups - made up of students from the three universities - participated in theoretical and practical sessions under the degree scroll "Sustainable nutrition and psychological well-being: an international partnership ". Highlights included an intercultural culinary workshop in which the teams prepared typical recipes from their countries, explaining the nutritional value of each dish and reflecting on the difficulties and solutions during the process. The experience culminated with the presentation of final projects before a panel formed by professors from the three institutions.

In addition to the academic component, the students enjoyed activities and cultural visits to the region, reinforcing the coexistence and exchange between students of different nationalities and university realities.

With this initiative, the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition reinforces its commitment to international training and the preparation of future professionals capable of addressing the challenges of nutrition from a global and sustainable perspective.
