The School de Farmacia y Nutrición awards the Extraordinary Prizes of Degree and doctorate

The School of Pharmacy and Nutrition of the University of Navarra has made public the Extraordinary Awards to the best records that finish their programs of study, both Degree and doctorate. María Javier Ramírez, dean of the School, emphasized that this is "a recognition of effort and work at a time when the health professions have become more necessary than ever".
On this occasion, the recognition by Degree in Pharmacy has gone to Beatriz Echarte, who has just finished her period of supervised stays in Hospital Pharmacy at the University College of London Hospital within the Erasmus+ program.
For the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, the School has recognized Rafael Perez, who studied the Double Degree in Pharmacy and Nutrition, and is currently staff researcher in training at department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health.
Mikel Etxebeste, on the other hand, has received the accredited specialization after having studied the doctoral program in medicines and health. He completed the thesis at the department de Tecnología y Chemistry Farmacéuticas, and is currently on a postdoctoral stay at the laboratory of experimental hematology of the Fundación Jimenez Díaz.
In addition, within the doctoral program in food, physiology and health, the winners were Ana Arpón, with her thesis "Epigenetic DNA methylation signatures in different physiological, metabolic and nutritional states", carried out under the direction of Alfredo Martínez and José-Ignacio Riezu-Boj, and Ana Ojeda, with her thesis "Influence of lifestyle on obesity and telomere length in a pediatric population and elderly subjects of the SUN project", directed by Cristina Azcona and Itziar Zazpe.
