On March 2 and 3, fifth-year students in Degree Pharmacy, fourth-year students in Degree Human Nutrition and Dietetics, and sixth-year students in Degree dual Degree Pharmacy and Nutrition at the University of Navarra took a career guidance trip career guidance Madrid this month. The goal this initiative was to introduce them to different professional fields and help them discover the career opportunities they can explore upon completing their programs of study.
Over the course of two conference, the students visited reference letter companies reference letter sectors such as the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare technology, sports nutrition, and the food industry. This allowed them to gain insight into the day-to-day operations of various organizations and explore career paths that resonated with them.
From research to Entrepreneurship and Innovation
For the pharmacy students, the program began with a visit the Chemo Group’s research and development facility in Azuqueca de Henares, where they were able to get a firsthand look at work done in the field of drug manufacturing.
That same day, they also participated in the workshop“BioEmprende: Designing the Pharmacy That Doesn’t Exist Yet,”led by Esperanza Regueras, founder ofAxis Pharma, where they discussed entrepreneurship and innovation in the pharmaceutical sector.
The next day, the pathway with a visit Medtronic, business healthcare technology business , in Alcalá de Henares. There, students learned how technological innovation is transforming the healthcare sector. Meanwhile, students in the Human Nutrition and Dietetics program toured organizations that reflect the diversity of employment opportunities the field of nutrition. Among them, they visited the Clínica Universidad de Navarra in Madrid, where they explored the role of the dietitian-nutritionist in the clinical setting.
The program also included a visit Getafe Football Club, where the students were able to see firsthand the work being done in the field of sports nutrition for high performing athletes.
Finally, during the second workshop the Mahou plant in Alovera. There, they not only learned about the brewing and production processes, but also gained a better understanding of the scope of the food industry and the various professional roles involved in the development, quality control, and marketing of food products.
The experience was rounded out by both groups' participation in the employment of Navarra employment Fair.

Pharmacy and Nutrition students took advantage employment their stay in the capital to attend the employment Navarra employment Fair, which took place on March 2 at the postgraduate program campus.
The event brought together students and companies to network, discuss development , and explore employment opportunities. There, they had the chance to speak directly with human resources and talent professionals from various companies, learn about available job openings and offers, and explore future career opportunities aligned with their fields of study and interests.
Overall, this career guidance trip career guidance students to gain contact to the professional realities of the biopharma and nutrition sectors, broaden their perspective on potential career paths, and better understand how to apply the knowledge they acquired during their training in real-world contexts.
